Seigaiha Sou-Shibori Kimono Skirt

Sale Price: $150.00 Original Price: $200.00

This skirt is made from a Sou-Shibori Kimono. Sou-Shibori 総絞り is a traditional hand tie-dye technique. Each dot is tied by hand before the textile is dipped in dye—then each dot is untied manually. A process that can take several weeks. Because of the enormous amount of labor that goes into Sou-Shibori, it is considered a high end textile.

Seigaiha 青海波 means “blue ocean wave” and is a common motif in traditional Japanese design.

The skirt features elastic waist band and two side pockets. This skirt can accommodate a range of sizes by adjusting the length of the waist elastic, which can be accessed easily through a discreet opening on the inside of the waistband.

Comes with elastic to fit approx 76cm/ 30” waist. If you would like to have the elastic adjusted, simply email your waist measurement after purchase.
