These one-of-a-kind barrel leg trousers are made with a patchwork of vintage and antique Kasuri Kimonos. The patterns are created from a hand weaving process called Kasuri 絣. Kasuri is a term for textiles that have been woven with threads that are dyed specifically to create patterns in the fabric as they come together in the weaving process. It requires a tremendous amount of planning as threads have to be pre-painted exactly to achieve the final pattern. It’s characterized by slightly blurred or brushed appearance, the beautiful mark of imperfections in hand-weaving.
Please refer to the last slide for garment measurements. The elastic is meant to be cut slightly smaller than actual waist size. If you would like to have the elastic length adjusted, simply email your waist measurement after you place your order. Should the waist elastic need to be replaced or adjusted in the future, it is easily accessible from a discreet opening on the waistband.
