Heko Obi Shibori Dress

Sale Price:$200.00 Original Price:$300.00
sold out

This dress is made from a Sou-Shibori men’s Heko Obi. Heko Obi are loosely tied belts worn with Kimonos. This Heko Obi is dyed in the Sou-Shibori 総絞り method, a traditional hand tie-dye technique. Each dot is tied by hand before the textile is dipped in dye—then each dot is untied manually. A process that can take several weeks. Because of the enormous amount of labor that goes into Sou-Shibori, it is considered a high end textile.

This is a loose-fitted dress with long balloon sleeves.

One Size (fits up to US 16)

Bust/ Hip: 140 cm / 55 in
Length 120cm / 27 in

100% silk
Hand wash in cold water, gently squeeze out water (do not wring)
Or place in laundry net and wash on delicate cycle in cold water
Lay flat or hang to dry
