This blouson top is made from a vintage men’s Sou-Shibori Heko Obi. Sou-Shibori 総絞り is a traditional hand tie-dye technique. Each dot is tied by hand before the textile is dipped in dye—then each dot is untied manually. A process that can take several weeks. Because of the enormous amount of labor that goes into Sou-Shibori, it is considered a high end textile.
The relaxed-fit top has a voluminous flowing shape over the torso while slightly cinched at the waist with an elastic band. The wide sleeves are also cinched with elastic, providing both comfort and movement.
Each top is made to order. Please allow four to six weeks for shipment.
