Maru Obi 丸帯 is the most formal and luxurious type of Obi, distinguished by its single piece of fabric, patterned on both sides with heavy brocade. They are no longer typically worn having been replaced by Fukuro Obis, but are occasionally worn by performers or sometimes Geishas.
This bag is fully lined with a sturdy Tsumugi Kimono silk with an inner pocket, and features a gold zipper.
