Houmongi Kimono 訪問着 are considered formal and are usually worn for weddings and other formal occasions.
This Houmongi features Shibori 絞り is a traditional hand tie-dye technique. Each dot is tied by hand before the textile is dipped in dye—then each dot is untied manually. A process that can take several weeks. Because of the enormous amount of labor that goes into Shibori it is considered a high end textile.
This Kimono is not available for purchase on its own. Must be combined with a Made to Measure Dress design to create your own custom dress.
