Brown Vintage Tsumugi Jacket Ex Long

This jacket has extra long sleeves for men and taller people. The sleeves feature cuffs that can be folded up. The armhole opening and cuffs are slightly larger than the standard sized jackets.

This cardigan style jacket is made from vintage Tsumugi Kimono silk. Tsumugi 紬 yarns are made from irregular-shaped cocoons called Kuzumayu, which were once considered not fit for spinning even, fine silk threads. Compared to the shine of ordinary silk fabric, Tsumugi has a matte surface. Containing naturally formed slubs, Tsumugi yarns are durable, yet lightweight. Historically, Tsumugi was worn by farmers, samurai and merchants as casual wear. Although Tsumugi was once thought of as a sub-par textile, it is now highly sought after by Japanese Kimono connoisseurs.

This jacket is lined with vintage Yukata cotton. Features two patch pockets and an extra wide collar that can be folded open for extra coverage.
