This clutch is made from a Fukuro Obi. Fukuro Obi 袋帯 are worn on formal occasions and often feature intricate embroidery with gold accents. The design features Kikkou 亀甲, a traditional hexagonal motif representing the turtle shell. The turtle is thought to live 10,000 years and represents longevity and wisdom.
